ABSTRACT

At our ¤rst cool-down at the Iron Horse, a¨er the horrid PowerPointTM presentations, Andy had given Joe and me an assignment: To develop a strategic plan for the transformation of New Jersey Motor Manufacturing.*

He had pointed out all our planning weaknesses. We had not grasped our current situation; we didn’t know where we were going or what obstacles lay in our path. He had said we needed to make a video (i.e., a set of clear, simple pictures), which would show the path forward and help make abnormalities visible.
