ABSTRACT
As seen from our hospital-wide capellini,1 (See Figure 7.1) surgical services is driven by a number of factors and components, not the least of which is physician preferences, rounding patterns, and office schedules, which in turn drive the preferred surgical schedule. Physicians tend to drive the utilization of surgical services through their use of the OR and scheduling demands and needs.
