ABSTRACT

Capellini: The Better Spaghetti Every process improvement tool seems to have a name, from fishbones to affinity diagrams to DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) to Kano models. Many Lean tools and methods have really cool Japanese names, like Ishikawa, Gemba, Toppa, and Kaizen. So, I think our new concepts should have cool names, too. We’ve already started with a nice acronym, DCAMM (dynamic capacity analysis, matching, and management), but we have other tools in need of monikers.
