ABSTRACT
Packaging plays a role in every stage in the life cycle of a medical device. This chapter is most concerned with the aspects of medical device packaging that (1) directly affect the identi cation, handling, and use of medical devices; (2) are unlikely to be addressed by standards and guidelines from other specialties or organizations; and (3) are amenable to guidance based on existing human factors data and methods.
