ABSTRACT

Biological processes can be considered as complex networked systems that involve events that occur on a variety of time and length scales ranging from nano-to mesoand even macro-scales, thus making these processes fundamental challenges to model. Multiscale modeling is an effective tool to deal with these complex biochemical processes by integrating various physical techniques ranging from atomistic to macroscopic simulations (Figure 5.1) [1].
