ABSTRACT
We begin our discussion of basic chemistry by reviewing the periodic table of the elements. The periodic table of the elements (or periodic table) displays all the known chemical elements in a tabular form. Currently there are 118 individual elements listed on the periodic table. The key elements of the periodic table are shown in Figure 4.1.
