MW 107.17; CAS [95-53-4]; used in the manufacture of various dyes and as an intermediate in rubber chemicals and pharmaceuticals; colorless liquid, becoming yellowish to reddish-brown on exposure to air or light; boils at 200°C; solidi es at −16°C; vapor pressure 0.1 torr at 20°C; slightly soluble in water (1.5% at 20°C), readily miscible in organic solvents; carcinogenic and toxic at high doses (Patnaik, 1997).
