ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND. An alkaline mineral medium was used previously to enhance the absorption rate of hydrogen sulfide in a odor biofiltration process. In this work a high operating pH (≈10) was used to perform the biotrickling filtration of carbon disulfide and ethanethiol odors, here a mathematical model was developed and validated under dynamic operation.
