ABSTRACT
Diane Ackerman is author of eleven books of nonfiction, including the best seller A Natural History of The Senses and seven volumes of poetry. Her work received the John Burroughs Nature Award, the Lavan Poetry Prize, and other honors. She holds a PhD in English from Cornell and has taught at various universities, including Cornell and Columbia.
