ABSTRACT

We will follow our previous approach and will restrict ourselves to the consideration of chemical IMI only. In the case of fullerenes, the IMI, as we know, is considerably aggravated with a donor-acceptor (D-A) interaction. This is particularly important for fullerene homomolecular systems since the fullerene C60, as well as other members of the fullerenic family, is simultaneously both a good electron donor, due to rather low ionization potential (IP), and a good electron acceptor, due to extremely high electron afœnity (EA). ability of participants is the main feature of D-A-assisted reactions to be considered below.
