ABSTRACT
The fact that hydrazine hydrate can be prepared in high yield using cheap materials in a few hours in the laboratory is not generally well known and, hence, its preparation is presented here. Hydrazine is often introduced into a reaction in the form of its sulfate if an anhydrous reaction medium is required [5], or due to the much reduced air sensitivity of the sulfate. The synthesis of this salt, therefore, is also presented.
