ABSTRACT
With today’s emphasis on safety, even chemicals such as sodium carbonate and copper sulfate have been classi‘ed as hazardous, which can lead to complacency when dealing with the chemicals synthesized in this book. The signi‘cant danger these substances pose to the experimenter is best highlighted by the fact that their properties have necessitated restrictions on their mode of transportation; many are seafreight items only.
