ABSTRACT
It is interesting to fi nd that in different places, handiwork developed independently. For example, as described by K. Bühler,6 the Warrau Indians of Venezuela have their techniques of crochet and knitting that differ widely from any other known methods and therefore could not have been acquired from an outside source.
