ABSTRACT
Coin-weighing problems have been popular in recreational mathematics for at least the past 60 years. Certain such problems, in which a counterfeit coin or coins must be identified through weighing, can be solved by a particularly useful and effective method I call the Association Method. This method is described and examples are given for problems involving three kinds of weighing devices:
1. A simple two-pan balance.
