ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to understand how a practical perspective viewing system works; and discusses the differences between virtual and real cameras. The image projected onto the film plane is inverted about a line through the pinhole and perpendicular to the film plane. Implement an option on the pinhole camera that keeps the field of view the same by altering the size of the pixels. The eye and look-at points define the view direction for the camera, which is l – e. The simple mechanism for zooming from us to zoom with the pinhole camera by changing the view-plane distance.
