ABSTRACT
Before the application of a specific visualization algorithm, it is also essential to know the data characteristics that we want to enhance. For example, when visualizing scalar data, it is possible to select between algorithms that display the entire data set or algorithms that only display isosurfaces within the data; each group has its own advantages. With every algorithm category presented here, we give a short discussion to address this point.
