ABSTRACT
A hierarchical clustering algorithm is a clustering algorithm that divides a dataset into a sequence of nested partitions. Hierarchical clustering algorithms can be classified into two categories: agglomerative hierarchical algorithms and divisive hierarchical algorithms (Gan et al., 2007).
