ABSTRACT
Thanks to NES’s success, by 1986 it was clear the video game craze wasn’t dead and Atari finally decided to re-release its 7800 ProSystem. Unfortunately, having shifted its focus to home computers didn’t help the new Atari company regain ground on the console scene, and despite the merits of the 7800, the two-year-old machine failed to conquer a significant market share.20
