ABSTRACT
The less than spectacular debut of Computer Space didn’t discourage Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney. In fact, Nolan was ready to pitch some new ideas to Bally, one of the most important pinball and slot machine manufacturers of the time, but the big company wasn’t keen to deal with the two men as long as they were in business with Nutting. For Ted and Nolan, it was the right time to leave the struggling company and start a new, real business on their own.
