ABSTRACT

The audit document should have a great deal of information input into it by the time the on-site audit activity is complete. However, there will typically be additional information that will need to be added once the auditor returns to the of˜ce. This might include:

• Final assessments. Questions may have arisen during the audit regarding the application of regulatory or company policy issues that the auditor could not readily assess at the time of the audit. This may require the auditor to perform additional research upon returning to the of˜ce. Once the information is identi˜ed and a decision is made, the auditor can update the audit document with a ˜nal assessment of the audit question. Though this information will appear on the ˜nal report, the auditor should immediately notify facility management of the decision so that any ˜nal conversations can be had prior to the audit report being ˜nalized.
