ABSTRACT
In this chapter the planar non-uniform distribution of lattice points is explained in more detail. Our goal is to discuss this phenomenon for combined radial and angular patterns. Certain variants of Hardy-Landau identities act as the points of departure for our motivation. An essential tool for the description is the almost periodicity of the modified lattice point discrepancy.
