ABSTRACT
Data center and networking professionals need to gain an understanding of key power usage and power management concepts. These concepts clearly apply to enterprises with large network operations, Web hosting operations, “Cloud Computing/ Grid Computing” operations, carriers, and service providers; while smaller telecom nodes as well as floor-level (closet) installations typically have less stringent/formal requirements, the basic ideas are still applicable.
