ABSTRACT
The neglected partner in allergenic complicity with pollen and mold spores is animal allergens, or house dust. Only within the past 10 years have clinical studies revealed a strong relationship between levels of animal allergens in dust and allergy symptoms. Technology has evolved. Methods have been re›ned, and immunoassay technology comes into the limelight.
