As I was writing this book I kept thinking to myself, how am I going to really get you, the reader, to understand how challenging, serious , and rewarding serving people with food allergies can be? I can describe my experiences and explain processes and procedures that will help you develop a sound food allergen safety program, but how will you really get it? I thought it was important to talk to the people who live with food allergies everyday. That is why I reached out to a few friends and colleagues and asked them to share their real life experiences with you.

Throughout the following chapters, Gina Clowes, founder and director of AllergyMoms.com, will be sharing her experiences with her son’s food allergies and restaurants.
