ABSTRACT

In this section, we present the different extensions of iterative splitting methods:

• Iterative splitting methods for time-space decomposition problems. • Iterative splitting methods for hyperbolic equations. • Iterative splitting methods for nonlinear equations. • Iterative splitting methods for coupled problems. For spatial decomposition methods, the idea is to decompose into n subdo-

mains, where each domain is corresponding to an operator. Then we reduce exponentially the amount of computational work with operators of subdomains, see [183]. The computations can be accelerated.
