ABSTRACT
A blasthole, or for that matter any type of hole in the ground, cannot be drilled without taking out the fragmented material from the hole. Flushing is a component of drilling activity, where a flowing medium is taken to the bottom of the hole by exerting pressure on it so that it returns to the surface of the ground and brings along cuttings with it.
