ABSTRACT
Blasthole drilling is carried out by using a blasthole drill and many other accessories described in earlier chapters of this book. The working of some of these components does depend upon the atmospheric parameters and other environmental conditions that change with altitude. The height of a workplace from mean sea level is called altitude. As many mines are located above 1500 m altitude and some are as high as 4500 m altitude, it is important to know the effects on such components.
