ABSTRACT
Life is not so simple anymore. More and more we are being asked to think beyond our borders, beyond ourselves, and to examine the impacts of our choices and our actions. The purpose of this book is to examine just how we do that with regard to environmental issues, both local and global. It is not an easy task, and it is one that certainly deserves more thought and attention than merely believing, or discounting, the latest environmental crisis brought to our attention by whichever media outlet has our ear.
