ABSTRACT

Con—ict is a choice of behavior. We resort to con—ict in one way or another, at one level or another, because that is what we were taught to do as children. That is how we were taught to cope with change-those circumstances perceived as threatening to our survival. For example, we are waging a war against Nature, a war on cancer, a war on poverty, a war on obesity, a war on diseases of all kinds, a war on drugs, war of the sexes, and so on. We are we progressively making the world into an everyday combat zone with our thinking.
