ABSTRACT
As the day wound down, Floyd Lynch, facility and safety manager for Better World Books (BWB), looked out the window of his o•ce and thought about the question that Chris Fuchs, co-founder and VP of operations, had posed to him in a meeting earlier that day: “Should BWB expand their current warehouse facility or should they consider opening a new facility?” Lynch, an MBA graduate of the Darden School, re®ected upon BWB’s recent growth and the criticality of tackling warehouse capacity to sustain their anticipated future growth.
