ABSTRACT
The rapid growth of the fuel ethanol industry and recent amount of research on distillers grains and utilization have in most cases not indicated the interesting historical perspective of prior years. While the earlier years were of smaller beverage ethanol plants, the distillers grains products were very similar in many respects to those produced from giant fuel ethanol plants of today. Plus, the distillers grains coproducts are being utilized and fed to livestock in the same manner-to provide a valuable feed ingredient and an important plant revenue.
