Egyptian civilization is probably best known for the great pyramids of Giza, masterpieces of construction artistry and architectural distinction. Egypt is also known for the Sphinx, the mystical symbol of eternity, facing the sunrise every morning for thousands of years, narrating a seldom-occurring episode of serenity and immortality. But little is known about the capability behind those striking colors of the numerous engraved icons and plates depicted on the walls of old temples, and their remarkable persistence against the daunting aging and withering conditions of both  time and environment. It is the secret of old Egypt, and their superior artistry of chemistry.
