ABSTRACT
There are two classes of transformations that may be performed: To improve fit, and to remedy violations of the normality or constant variance assumptions on the error terms. Both classes are fairly straightforward to implement; however, determining the appropriate transformation does involve a combination of a good foundation in (underlying) theoretical principles and mathematical function behavior, as well as the use of some creativity.
