ABSTRACT

The use of a heterogeneous catalyst in place of a homogeneous sys-

tem in chemical reactions is a sought-after goal because it gives

rise to several advantages. A commonly accepted benefit is the

easy separation of the solid catalyst from the reaction mixture

and the straightforward recovery of it, without affording the time-

consuming, expensive, and sometimes difficult purification tech-

niques adopted for valuable soluble organometallic complexes.
