ABSTRACT

New elements are continuously developed for repair and strengthening of unreinforced masonry walls (UMW), beams, columns, and other structural elements [1]. To improve the tensile and ²exural performance, reinforcements can be žber reinforced polymer (FRP) or cement-based textile reinforcements. The main advantage of textiles cement-based composites as reinforcements is in their compatibility with the base material, long-term durability, žre resistance, and ultraviolet degradation resistance. Various production methods allow great ²exibility in textile design [2] to control fabric geometry, yarn type, and orientation [3].
