ABSTRACT
Arti cial olfaction systems stem from the idea that an array of nonselective gas sensors can mimic the property of natural olfaction to identify and recognize odors. This basic structure has been investigated for more than two decades now using many different sensor technologies, and odor identi cation properties have been tested in several application elds.
