ABSTRACT
For the plant manager who is leading the revolution to manufacturing excellence, having the right leader for the quality function is one of the early pieces of the puzzle that must be in place. Ideally the leader of the quality function should be a Black Belt in Lean and Six Sigma tools as well as a strong voice around the staff table as the customer quality advocate for the shop floor.
