ABSTRACT
Why data mining? In hyperspectral remote sensing, data are collected in numerous (hundreds to thousands) narrow wavebands in one or more regions of the electromagnetic spectrum, and large numbers of data are collected. While offering tremendous potential, there are a variety of issues that must be addressed to “mine or extract the information of interest from hyperspectral data.”
