ABSTRACT
Like the USDOT and U.S. states, the transportation ministries in these countries all espouse goals related to mobility, safety, security, and environmental concerns (Table 5.1). New Zealand and the United Kingdom both have objectives that are quite analogous to the U.S. strategic goals. e principal difference is that those two countries place more explicit emphasis on transportation for the disabled, elderly, and other disadvantaged populations via their access goals.
