Introduction Examples abound of communities that have recognized that local economic growth must be a collaborative effort between the elected officials and the business leaders. is should not be surprising. We have already observed that businesses in given industries require certain assets and amenities to be successful, and that in the absence of them, they may seek more favorable locations for their facilities.
