ABSTRACT
The mutual impermeability of rigid (stiff) polymeric molecules with a molecular mass not higher than 5∙106 Da underlies the so-called entropy ordering of these molecules, causing the formation of the liquid-crystalline phases of these polymers. The “moving” power of this process is the change in the entropy of the system.
