ABSTRACT
Platform standardization presumes to simplify the working environment of the information system, and this means that we have an opportunity to reduce the total number of components that are to be integrated to form the total system. The components of the information system environment may grow or reduce in number, and with them the likelihood of errors, incidents, problems, and conflicts between them does the same in a geometric manner until do the information system unmanageable. In a normal information systems operating environment, there can be a wide variety of system components, hardware and software, which must work in a seamless and integrated manner to support global operations. Consolidating the information system involves actions contributing to strengthening the foundations on which the information system is built. The digitization of documents may also facilitate more effective handling of information transferred between offices, and perhaps enable electronic incorporation into the database management system as a means to store and retrieve customer information.
