ABSTRACT
After the discovery is complete, the lawyers and the judge meet for a pretrial conference. Those present discuss a variety of matters, and the judge attempts to simplify the trial. The provisions for a pretrial conference are set forth in Rule 16 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP).
