ABSTRACT
There are six data sets that are used throughout the book. Since some of the data sets are used more than once, it is convenient to give the relevant information in this appendix, as an internal reference. For each data set references will be given to the clinical studies from which they arise and the methodological studies in which they have been used before. Basic information will be provided on the survival and censoring distributions and the cumulative incidence functions of competing risks (if present). Furthermore, a description will be given of the main risk factors in the data set, their descriptive statistics and their univariate effects on the outcomes of interest.
