ABSTRACT
After the development of a prognostic index and a corresponding prognostic model, different questions may arise in the assessment of the predictive value of the model. For a general discussion see the paper of van Houwelingen & le Cessie (1990), and the books by Harrell (2001) and Steyerberg (2009).
