ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book focuses on helping organizations and their leadership to develop a process of alignment to help determine what needs to change in order to always remain a vital force in the marketplace. Organizational Alignment begins and ends with strategy. Organizational Alignment can function as a change accelerator by developing new ways of managing change and stress, as well as improved information systems. The globalization of business will require global strategies and structures and creative management styles. Organizational Alignment is a basic business discipline that addresses both the processes and behaviors in a very systemic way that drives positive results. Its objective is to create an organization in which the employees and management devote their time and energy toward accomplishing results without wasting effort overcoming obstacles. The transition to a knowledge-based society will require new, innovative management paradigms and knowledge management techniques.
