ABSTRACT

The organization should do a skill assessment of the present employees and then use the Strategic Plan to define the types of skills that will be needed in the future. Phase IV of the Organizational Alignment Cycle is defining the skills that the staff needs to have in the future-state organization and also defining how to acquire them. For sure, in most organizations, a much higher percentage of our personnel will need to become computer literate. Increasingly, end-to-end Organizational Alignment differentiates the winners from the rest of the pack. In organizational development, performance improvement is the process whereby the organization looks to modify the current level of performance in order to achieve a better level of output. Business and financial strength are fundamental to the success of any organization. Employees can understand that the organization needs to cut back when demand for the product falls off, and they can accept that.
