ABSTRACT

The DNA is dissolved in an appropriate volume of TE buffer, and then the cpm of the probe is measured. The sample is stored at −20°C until use.

1. Thoroughly clean an appropriate vertical gel electrophoresis apparatus including glass plates (15 × 60 cm or equivalent), spacers (0.4 mm), tanks, and comb (0.4 mm). Siliconize one of the glass plates with 1-1.5 mL of Sigmacote™ (Sigma Chemicals, St. Louis, MO), wash it with ethanol, and then wipe dry. Assemble the sandwich according to the instructions.
