ABSTRACT

Development of new wound care products often requires the use of non-clinical models. Wound healing models can not only be used to predict ef¢cacy and safety of wound care products, but can also be used to assess potential adverse effects of new drugs on the wound healing process. It is also relevant to consider the use of non-clinical wound healing models for dermal drugs that potentially can be dosed on a compromised skin surface, as for instance may be the case for patients suffering from psoriasis.
