ABSTRACT

A vast amount of true multidisciplinary fundamental knowledge is currently being explored and linked with different ™elds of science and technology. It will lead to a tremendous amount of new in-depth understanding as well as to the fabrication of novel high technological devices in many ™elds of applications from electronics to medicine. Recent advances in synthesis, processing, and microanalysis are enabling the routine production of well-characterized materials with structure that varies on the length scale of several nanometers. Dealing with such nanomaterials is one such new concept to bring out new avenues in the ™eld of gas sensors. Room-temperature hydrogen sensor [37] based on palladium nanowires is one such example.
